LBJ State Park, Stonewall, Texas

We have started a new chapter in our lives!

Volunteering at State Parks, National Parks and National Wildlife Refuges after we retired has been something we have planned to do for several years.

The time has finally arrived!

We’re at LBJ State Park. This morning we had a 2 hour orientation and will officially start as volunteers tomorrow.

We are provided with a very nice RV site that is next to the swimming pool (which is closed for the winter) on one side and a nice, large, grassy area with lots of Cedar Elm trees for shade on the other side.

Nicely landscaped entrance to the swimming pool.

Our RV site.

We arrived yesterday and took a short walk around last night. Across the Pedernales River is the LBJ National Historical Park.

Please feel free to leave a comment, become a follower, or send an e-mail!
We enjoyed hearing from everyone during our last trip and hope you will keep in touch as we start our new adventure!
